Be careful with this. As much as he's a family member, he is still a dog. He's not a monster, just doing what most dogs would also do in the same situation. And he's not a bit sorry about it. He's only worried that you are mad at him. That's all he really knows and cares about. There is a learning curve to keeping chickens. Sometimes it comes early, sometimes later, but it always comes. We have all had problems at one time or another.

Seems like a good brooder cage on tall legs might be in order.

nope I know you weren't but thought there might be some fireworks as we all know how much granny likes to cook.
Methinks Granny doesn't like to cook because she is not that skilled at it. I have noticed while I've been on that she tries more often and has greater successes with cooking, she cooks much more. It's a learning curve. And she is doing it! Sorry for talking like you aren't here Granny!

I'm not picking a fight. Granny made a nice lunch/dinner with ground beef and cornbread topping.

  Tom ate 3 bowls, Robert 2. they both said they didnt like the cornbread on top. 

Sounded good to me, like the tamale pie my mom used to make. Too bad they can't focus on the part they like instead of the part the don't like. Because they must have liked it or the chickens would have eaten those 5 bowls!

no not skilled and not much interested in getting that way. Thing is, I hate cooking the same thing twice. Very hard when there is only 4 meats to pick from. And one will only eat green beans the other peas.
