So I just read back on my old thread to see why I stopped fermenting feed.the old thread was like a daily journal of life back them. It seems I stopped doing it because the dogs were eating it instead of the birds. It was the cayenne experiment that screwed up the egg production of the birds. So I guess I have no hard evidence against fermenting feed. Lol

I put cayenne in my chickens feed once a week....my "horse" chickens.
They still lay everyday.

I read a thread about cayenne pepper in chicken feed. Followed their recommendations and it proved havoc on the girls... But remember I am in a different climate and stuff than you.

Ok..I read about it too and I have been using a few dashes on some cooked chicken or eggs once a week and have had not problems...
don't be trying to scare me!
