I have purple verbena come back from last year. I was pleased it made it the winter here. Very mild winter though.   I called it lantana .

It's pretty.  Same family, but verbena has 5 petals on flowers (4 on lantana) so different genus.  Verbena isn't toxic either.  I'm interested in the bee balm that someone mentioned.  Also trying to collect seeds from my one borage plant.  Bees love them, so would like to grow more next year.  Looking for hummy-birds plants too.

I want bee balm on my fence row. Privacy fence, western facing and always looks barren and hot. It would look pretty from the road, too.

I want it anywhere it will grow without needing too much water.  Wonder if chickens will eat them...   

Goats are supposed to love it, so probably.

Nope. Walking and careful bending are okay. Lifting and twisting are not good. Guess piggyback rides for Twist are out!

Ooooh! yum. Hope it's good! Tried to get ingredients yesterday, but no orange or lemon jello at the grocery.

Too tired to try a different place. Now it's getting so late and 3 of us leaving on Wed, we won't finish it. One site said it freezes really well...




Found one more reason the grocery bill was so high from #1's shopping trip on Thursday. He bought white peaches instead of regular! Dollar a pound more for white, and I don't even like them. They don't taste like peach, just taste sweet. At least he didn't get organic white peaches!
