Good kitty! I have heard that if the mother doesn't teach a kitten how to hunt, they aren't good hunters. We had an excellent barn cat that caught huge pack rats longer than she was. The rest of the cats we ever had on the farm were worthless, except for petting and killing my parakeet.

well that theory is not accurate. Their mother was killed and we rescued them at 4 weeks. they didnt even know how to drink water out of a dish.
I did start feeding them raw meat a few weeks ago. We will continue to feed them dry cat food every morning but we need them to keep the rodents down.
