Egads I just went to the killing thread so I can tell my husband how to kill my chickens humanly. I don't think I could do it. I know the young rooster have to go.
 
what method did you choose ? I have to be in a mood to cull them but dont have a problem cleaning . I have done so many now I guess its nothing to me if they need it.
 
I went back to where I got the pup today and asked to see the mama. She is the same size as pup. I guess she is full blooded Jack . I wondered how he could be so big already then it finally sunk in. Ummm, wheres the dad ? She starts calling and he comes this monster male . Just as a guess I would say mostly lab with some hound pitched in . They said he was a beagle . How that big of a mutt mated her and didnt kill her when the pups came I will never know.

I believe it is. I just cut the heads off with my hatchet. The skin is tough and you need a good knife. Someone recommended a fish fillet knife to me. Be prepared for a good couple min. of thrashing. Even with the head gone that happens.

Dogs are amazing. I saw a YouTube video of a chihuahua mating a mastiff. It can be done!!!

Its just not for everyone. CB does it. His older brother turned vegan . He cant even look at a live chicken. Not sure what happened there. He was like that when they moved here.

My husband grew up hunting. They had eat what they killed..he can kill and clean and eat anything. Good skill to have.
