How often do you have to check them to make sure they aren't too tight?

Not often on the grown girls. I try to do weekly on the growing chicks, but really I never go a day without seeing everyone. As I see them I check their bands. If one red band looks snug, then I check all the red bands. Make sense? I used diff colors to mark diff hatched. This time I'm using purple (not used before) to mark the "keepers."
