Hi Linda and camping! As I said to jane, got to get things cleaned up around here. I only intended to sit down for a few minutes. One hour later....

Camping, no view in my house looks as clean or as nice as yours.

My MIL would come to my house & see i was having a hard time keeping up with dishes, laundry, whatever. She just rolled up her sleeves & helped.

No, they're both in there. I didn't think about that. DD isn't sick though. I think it's a school bug, but I'll keep that in mind.

My mom does that. Caused LOTS of fights. I didn't want her to drive 6 hours to wash dishes. I preferred to visit. But our relationship is strained to begin with. :/

That's wonderful! Lucky you. Not all MILs are created equal.

Mine only came 2 miles. This was when i drove 50 miles one way to work & worked a 2nd job 3 nights a week.

The one thing my mil does that is really cool and helpful is if we take the kids camping or out for the day or if I throw birthday parties... She likes to provide as much food as possible or plans to bring all the food we would need.
