morning all caught up

we got the pump installed and working in the old hand dug and stone lined well. Ran the pump for over 20 minutes and no noticible change in the water level

after the first 5 minutes the water came out beautifully clear. Like city water. The pump churns out between 5 and 10 gallons a minute. Almost lost Rod thru the boards covering the well. He sat down real quick when one leg went thru the rotten wood. We had no idea the wood cover was that far gone. Then he had to sit there and hold the pump while I quickly glues the pvc pipe sections together so we could lower it to the bottom.

Then we all raked and bobcated and trailered out all the broken branches and trimming out of the gen pop run. Must have been over 35 bucket loads. The place is looking like a park and NO place to hide except up the remaining trees and the stumps growing suckers. I might try to get a vid the next time I am out.

Ok all u chicken experts. I have a bsl hen sticking her neck out 3X normal length & sitting not moving since 3pm yesterday. One of the black sexlink hens had been making a noise like something stuck in throat for 6+months. Not sure if it was her but i don t hear the noise from anyone now. What u think?

Have you checked inside her mouth to see if you see anything... It could be a parasite... Sour crop or a cold virus.

I think she s just about gone. Her head is on the ground upside down. I thought she might have eaten a piece of plastic that got stuck in her throat. She s been luving with it for 6 months. I feed them scraps so something could of been in them. I don t know. She is so pretty.

I'm so sorry Jane. You don't think she is up to drinking any vitamin water?

Granny not back with that milk yet? Chickens & dogs cats fed. Sitting outside under the tree for another hour. Windows open in bed & bath. House is hot cause ac is off. Wish buc would let me send pics from my camera. We have a 4 week old puppy that is so cute. Long hair chiwawa(sp). Mom only brought out from under storage building a few days ago.
