That's up to you! Yak math is a lot more expensive than chicken math. If you are trying for royal calves, you will have to get a trim or royal bull at some point. Are they really that much more valuable??

Oh, and just a disclaimer, all this yak genetic info came from that one link from the breeder. If his info is incorrect, so is mine. I am just interpreting what he said.

Not sure I really like the looks of some of the royal I guess what is really want are as many possible options as I can afford and have room for will give me a greater market.

Although bloodlines and individual health/confirmation are more important to me.

Ie crazy Sheila is a very LARGE cow. so even tho she is a native should have very nice sized calves for breeding or eating Wagoner is her calf and a really nice looking boy I think he is going to be as impressive as Porter.

funny how Springer genetics were so easy for me and the yak just hurt my head.

a Black and a Liver gets you both and 2 liver dogs who both had 1 black parent will give you a 25% chance of a black.

Have u banded Tibbets yet?
Twist i was saying i would breed him with the royal cow & u have a 50% chance of getting a royal calf. If the royal cow is pg we would be talking about next 18 months when tibbets is mature. How long were u keeping current bull? By that point he could be breeding his daughters.
