Tom got his shoes I pulled some tree sprouts up at the drs. strawberry dog wood. Think I might pull the tomatoes up and over winter them in the buckets til they get a little size on them. One is big enough to go in the ground.
Fire marshal called today. He wants CB at the fire house saturday . this will be the first of many meetings. Said for me to drop him off at 11 and pick up at 12. I dont like this. I dont know this man. I dont trust DDs judgement. This man was bragging about how he took another child that liked to play with fire and turned him around to become a fire fighter. and also how he got his asss beat by his dad when he was little and set a fire. He is already talking of future meetings becoming longer .
People here do believe it takes a village to raise a child and wouldnt have a problem whipping their neighbors brats. I am not one of those people. I think this has been blown out of proportion. But who knows , Maybe he will enjoy his time there and learn some manners. He needs a better role model then he has had so far. He really dont know what to make of Tom. Like night and day.

Uh ho I missed something..what happened with fire?

Did he like the clothes?
 
I read those links yay posted about the passion flower...
It can grow year round here!
Tomorrow morning on my walk I am going to pick as many fruits as I can...save the seeds and start planting some!

After the morning walk I went to the gym!

There is a machine thing...it has I think 6 or 7 stations on it....I did one set of 10 on each machine! (Ill take a picture tomorrow)
I used the lightest weight on each machine...some of the arm machines would only go to 30 and others would go down to 10.
30 is heavy when you are not in shape!
I went up to 80 on some of the leg machines!!

This is so fun....(It REALLY helps having a workout friend/partner...now that I actually started I'm pretty sure I could continue on my own, but having "her" has really put me in the groove)
I can't believe I waiting so long to start getting back into shape!

Looked up the strawberry dogwood. Can you eat the fruit? That would be cool.

CB seems like a pretty smart kid. I'd try the first hour at the fire station, but ask him how it went and what he thought. If he says it's boring, maybe it's good thing to keep him going!

Have you had the talks with him about no one has permission to lay hands on him? And if an adult ever asks a child to keep a secret, something is wrong and the secret needs to be told. If anything, my guys are too respectful of authority... I wanted them to feel at least a little powerful in the face of an adult acting bad. You should play up Tom to him. Use Tom to explain what honorable means... and how getting old makes a person cranky!
