My lone chick is still quiet as a church mouse. I thought for sure it was dead and peeked in: it's in there, standing up and alert, doing fine it seems. I guess I had my days wrong, and the breeder must hatch on Thursdays. So tomorrow for friends.

thats  good. probably wont hush once it gets a friend.   Poor thing dont have anyone to talk to.

I just can't even wait for these cochin babies. I hope Cinder does a good job.

I also added a cochin egg to the dozen mollie gave me. I can't incubate until I get friends for the baby and move them to the brooder. So maybe some of the eggs will be too old... She was so excited about saving them, I couldn't say no.
