Cut back gardenias, planted parsnips and Brussels sprouts. Washed puppy's towels and mopped in there. Now a nap?

Yes indeed! But in moderation. Too much and you get labeled a crackpot!

Or a big enough scene so the administration is afraid of you.
Having been on the inside, they will circle the wagons. Parent is up against very powerful and organized union. Small things will get fixed as long as it doesn't put the teacher out too much.

The school supply issue is as old as time. Parents have been complaining about it for years. Eventually they do what I do. The lists are never right anyway especially once you hit high school. Like today... I need to buy nitrite gloves... A planner... Science supplies and such they don't put on the list. I always wait until the first day to see what they really need. I just purchase the pens pencils and composition notebooks for the beginning of the year.

Yup! And if your kid doesn't have something they need on the first day, teacher will give him some of what somebody else brought in!

Anyway, it's supposed to be public school supported by taxes. Not really supposed to have to buy special supplies like gloves for chemistry!! It's all about the proper allocation of resources.
