6 years! The only name I know is Pitaya, There is anoter fruit similar called Dragon's fruit, or Dragon's egg. Read this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitaya

I realy dont know!

I think it needs a bat as a polinator, so I made it with a paintbrush, now I have to wait.

My loquat tree is getting some blooms.  I have to make sure it gets watered because I really want some fruit this year.

 

 


I went over to my brother's place to check on things and water.  He gets back on Sunday.

I was reading a bit this morning.  Think I posted once saying that jane's Mr. Rogers song was stuck in my head.  Then my dad called...   He having withdrawals or something since his sister left.  We're trying to figure stuff out...   she may be moving into the old farm house!   

I have 2 trees of Loquat! It is madness when the fruit ripens! I get more then 20 Kg of fruit from each for one week befor it's spoils!
I just posted at Sally's a few days ago about my Guava and loquat. Yesterd I threw my second batch of 15 kg of Guava no buddy like them here!

Benny, do you have the sweet or sour type ? It doesnt look like a cacti. I hope you get to enjoy the fruit. I would not be able to fully appreciate the flavor as I cant "crunch" the seeds. Great Job !
