Ground is full of rocks. Soil is poor, not much organic material and it compacts like concrete. Guess you would call it clay.

Good luck, star.  Furnace isn't everything.  My dad uses those portable plug in radiator heaters.  Safe, fairly efficient, and you can heat the [art of the house you are using.

same here then. There is a grass that grows up around all my flowers that refuses to be pulled and will choke them out. All that can be done is to dig the flower up, separate the flower root from the grass root and replant. and 2 yrs its back. theres no amount of mulch that can change it. Or weed block.
