Yes. If they aren't strong enough to get out of the egg, there is probably a reason. In a natural setting, those genes would not be passed on because the chick would not survive.

It also may have drowned if fluid entered the nares. Everyone knows I'm a hands-on meddler, but at this point I agree to leave it and wait on the others.![]()
