Does that factor in my brown eyes turning hazel ? LOL

I kind of doubt it. When a baby is born, they almost always have blue eyes to start. As they grow, if it's in their genes, other darker pigments will be produced and cover over the blue. I imagine darker pigments could even cover hazel. So, if you are losing your darker pigment, it is just uncovering the other colors that have been hidden all along. Why you are losing pigment is another question, but age can cause it for some people.

Fun fact: Pigments in plant leaves are similar to eyes. When a leaf turns red or orange or yellow in the fall, it isn't really that it's turning a new color. Green pigments cover over all the other colors, and in the fall, the green pigments are breaking down and the other colors that are already in the leaf become visible. You can take a green leaf, grind it up and get some leaf juice, add it to some chemical solvent and separate out all the pigments with chromatography.
