Graphic pic, should I cull.

What could this be.. The chick was born this way and it scabbed over at first, but today she has picked at it and now I think her intestines are coming out. She was bleeding and goo was coming out. I have separated her from the others. Any suggestions.

I'd try wrapping it up with bandage wrap and put antibiotic stuff on it.
If it doesn't heal, then I'd consider culling. Just try to keep her from picking it.

What is the lump? I have a chick that just hatched with the same thing/lump?

Looks like an unabsorbed yolk. I did read recently that it needs to be covered with a bandaid.

I do hope it heals. I would get that covered pronto.

I’ve been putting Vaseline on it so it doesn’t get “chapped”. Is it okay to stick the bandaid on their down?

It's not that it is that you can title yours such that people with proper experience will see it.

Like "Help! Unabsorbed yolk sack!"

That will draw people with that experience to help.

That and this thread is very old. People will see the age and may not even view the thread.
