Grass Gone...Need Run Flooring Suggestion

Hi. Thank you for all the input. I've put down a layer of wood chips (and have covered the AC unit)! I have a bunch more wood chips so will add another layer or 2 over the weekend. And raise their feeder and waterer and add an edger!

Those look pretty fine, they may break down quickly...
....but I wouldn't add more until the bare ground or stinkiness happens.

I saying I wouldn’t add any substrate in the run. I would left it as dirt.

But since you already did, the amount is fine. I would be concern when after a rain storm comes. That when the coop/run will start stinking up.

Yes unfortunately it was the only untreated/natural wood chips I could find.

Will it do any harm if I were to add more? I have so much left! I bought enough for a 2.5" depth.

LOL...Well I just have 4 girls and I pick up all their poo everyday so hopefully that won't be an issue!

Yes, the garage. But will it attract rodents?
