As I understand it there are lots of documents on both sides about us shipping goods in to the war an that was a lot of the reason for bombing us...

Well yes we were giving aid the China to fight the Japanese, but no where near what we did after being bombed. The Japanese bombed us because they wanted the Philippines, and at that time it was ours. With the sanctions on steel and oil that we put on them they couldn't expand, and would run out of oil. So they needed to get their own natural resources. They thought if they dealt us a bad enough blow we would let them take all of southeast Asia, and not want to fight for yellow people.

What got us into the war in Europe is that Hitler was stupid enough to declare war on us.
