put the pool noodle on the roof panel... or use a foam pipe insulator that has an adhesive split if you want it in gray to match better..

I would think that would lead to water problems. I want the water running off the roof and to the ground without interruption.

I would have put a gutter on it, catch the water, use water for chickens. I aint had to manually fill up my chicken waterer for months. Only time I do is the hottest and driest part of summer. The 55 gallon drum stays full 95% of the year.

I do the same on my shop to water my garden.
