I just cracked an egg to use in baking and the albumen is green. No odor, my hens are all over a year old and there has been nothing unusual in their diet. All are healthy, and have not been wormed recently. Any idea why? Or what could have caused it? The yolk was intact; I broke it messing around with it. Should I bake a ham and serve actual green eggs and ham tonight?

Just the one egg?

Seems I read something about that somewhere...google.

Quick google found this:

" Green Whites. Green whites of broken out shell eggs exhibit fluorescence
when observed with UV light. Shell eggs with green white may or may not have a sour
odor. This defect is caused mainly by Pseudomonas fluorescens"
