I'm so sorry, Blue...the devil made me do it!

It won't happen again!

Well, I was on the front porch watering the hanging ferns, planter boxes, and Dani the golden retriever. Dani loves to play in the water and gets a little boisterous. The Princess came out the door (not seeing me at the far end of the porch) and says, "Dani what are you barking at? Come inside." Then it happened - I really don't know how.

The hose pointed at her with a will of it's own and she in her 'polka dotty' PJ's got sprayed. Surprise!

Should she be mad at me? I really don't think it was my fault.

Whether the Princess should be mad or not is a rather complex calculation. Air temperature at the time of the incident must be factored in, as must the degree to which she was wetted, whether there was any warning, how cold the water was, and the interval between this and any previous such incidents. Of course, a separate calculation must be made in regards to whether the dog came in, how wet the dog was, and whether or not the dog shook when she did come in (and whether the dog's shaking further wet the Princess). These calculations may take a considerable amount of time, during which it is perfectly understandable if she ceases to communicate (allows for the allocation of more of one's thought processes to the task at hand). She should be able to get back to you with a decision in a week or two.
