green egg from brown leghorn?

The pics have a white leghorn and a Americana in it also the hen in the back ground is the one in qeustion

I think your EE was the one who laid it. Chickens are good at fooling you like that - one hen goes in the nest, doesn't lay anything, the other goes in and lays her egg. Lol

The egg looks just like EE egg the only thing I can think of is the egg might have been layed there previously by our other EE that might have gotten out a day or two ago and we never noticed the egg there the egg was wsrm but she had been setting on it a while all of our birds are just starting to lay

That's probably what happened.

X2..... unless you physically see the egg drop there is a very good chance the birds present at discovery is not the source. To avoid confusion with the you're reading, your ameraucana is actually an Easter Egger. The bird in question is a brown leghorn showing no characteristic of mixed breeding with blue laying heritage. If though really curious pen her separately for a couple days sand she'll lay with no chance of confusion
