Good Monday morning!

Went to the Pickle Fest Saturday, LoL not really impressed, lots of pickled things. Even saw a peck of pickled peppers 🤣 okay it was a quart jar but still.... 😁

I was thinking "no one has pickled eggs? Great niche market!" (I had 4 dzn eggs in the car I was dropping off to family, of course I thought of eggs!) But asked stepson about it, he said something about that vendor group uses no animal products? Vegan vendors I guess? 🙄

Anyway, also tried a sip of pickle beer, I'm not a fan of beer but I have to say this was um.... well.... err.... interesting? Okay gross comes to mind, I got nothing nice to say about it! 🤣🤣

How was your weekend? Get some yardwork done?
 
oh that does sound gross lol and yea i dont drink beer either , heck i hardly drink at all, and i have never heard of vegan venders at any kind of festival before , very different....yes we finally got all the flowers i had planted and used about 5 bags (40lbs each) of garden soil , spent sunday catching up on all the chores fixing my car put us behind .....and hubby was kind enough to go to camden for me to this cute little plant nursery and get a 3 gallon black knight butterfly bush ...they had them on sale for 10 dollars !!!

$10 for a 3gal is a great price and that is a gorgeous color!! I can already see 🐝s and 🦋s all over it! 😁

Seems I read somewhere bees see higher in the UV spectrum and that's why purple/blue flowers are more than attractive to them. Kinda like hummingbirds and red.
 
oh yea for real, if you look online a normal price for that plant in that size is like 40-60 dollars and its gonna be so pretty when it blooms, i have it on the side of my house that gets sunlight from dawn to mid afternoon so it gets light all day

Sounds like a great spot for it! Did you give it plenty of room? I think that's one of the bigger varieties. I had a couple of dwarf varieties in pots, don't remember what names, one was pink and the other a medium purple.

yea its still in the pot for now, i also have a 4 gallon pot if i want to take more time before i put it in the dirt
