boss.... i have been trying to get a promotion for months but it doesnt look like im gonna get it ....bc im not a stick in the mud at work
Aww, I'm really sorry. I've been so very fortunate that after our 3rd baby was born in 2010, I became a stay at home mom. We had to make a ton of changes to adjust to one income, but we've always made that work. I can't imagine being in an office now. I'm sure you deserve that promotion, and I'm sorry they can't see that!

It definitely is not for everyone. And I've had my days. Mine are older now. The youngest is now 11. We homeschool though, so we stay busy.

I always hate when I see women fighting about who is "better." The old "if you stay at home, you aren't contributing to the family financially and could be doing better" versus "if you work and don't stay home with your kids, you're selfish and should just be making financial cuts to make it work" drives me insane.

What works for each family will be different. I know a lady who would love nothing more than to stay at home with her kids. But they built a house at a bad time and are now stuck with a huge mortgage and just can't afford for her to quit her job. And I know another lady who would not need to work because her husband makes plenty of money, but she just couldn't stay home because she wouldn't be happy not working.

No one is wrong or selfish, and I hate when moms turn on each other that way.

They're still too small to go outside right now. It's chilly and very windy. But I brought them some grass and dirt to get that exposure and learn to scratch. They love it.
