Green Jay Chatter

LoL, are they escape artists or just like high perches?

Did I mention that Pirate, my cross-beaked Green Queen, started laying....
brown eggs šŸ™ that was strike two for a green layer from Meyer.
Eleven of thirteen girls lay brown, Princess lays blue and if Izzy the Ameraucana ever lays, better be blue.
*sigh*
oh no that sucks, could you maybe call them or is it just luck for the draw for egg colors ? and they just sit for now and when i catch them i yell at them like toddlers and they get down and run , so i know it sounds mean but we actually had to add some weight on them bc they are so light ...so we used a chicken saddle and put 2 padlocks on the back to keep them from jumping up there on the fence .... i know it sounds rude but they can walk and eat and run just fine , they just cant jump on the fence anymore

Like most green layers "there's a chance of a brown egg" but that kinda overdid the odds there with two different breeds laying that chance brown egg landing in my coop. So no, not gonna even mention it to them, I won't get chicks there again tho. That's how I ended up with so many brown layers, the first shipment was 3 of 4 doa and had to run to tsc for emergency companions. The replacement shpt I had to cull the ee after a few days, leg problems.

Anywho, yeah don't blame you for adding some weight to those girls, guess you could try wing clipping?
