Yay! We've got 2 blackberry bushes and a banana tree to get in the ground this weekend.

mine will be little so it will go in the greenhouse over the winter but then in the ground in spring

I haven't really grown raspberries before. We planted 2 bushes one summer, and they were doing great. But then we moved the following spring. So we didn't get to see how they turned out.

Yeah, I don't miss anything about that house or that town. But I sure do miss the yard and garden, lol.

I hate sand!! People are always talking about how we live so close to the beach and we must go all the time. Nope! I don't like sand and I don't like crowds. I don't like whatever might be lurking in water I can't see through. Lol. The beach is gorgeous. And I admire it from a balcony of a condo that a family member owns.

I haven't been to Padre Island before. But I've been Houston, Galveston, Austin, and Brownsville. And crossed the border into Mexico many years ago into Ciudad Acuna, I believe it was called.

We went over to Port Aransas.
I was born and raised on the coast and I hate the beach. Sand gets in places that sand should never be, and I've seen some of the things that come out of that water, hard pass thanks !
Oh and I hate seafood too!

good just hanging out, trying to find a new trellis for my new raspberry bush coming in the mail in a few days

One of my girls adores raspberries! (it's a rare treat for them)

I like fish and crab claws. But it's got be fresh.

And yes!! My mom and I use to snorkel when I was a kid. We'd go to Panama City because my family owned a vacation house there. Once we were side by side in maybe 6 foot deep water. There was a movement under us, on the ocean floor. It turned out to be a gigantic stingray, probably about 6 feet across! I know they're not aggressive, but man, that tail was long... Not to mention the sharks I've seen swimming in and being caught from that water. I haven't been in the water since I was maybe 16.
