Been crazy busy with work lately
My chickies are growing so fast! This is chunky little Moo.

Good morning y'all! Hope everyone is having a good Saturday! What's the plans for the day?

Making a carrot cake today for a friend's birthday, (sure any kind of cake, what's your fav?) LoL, and guess what I haven't made in ages? (uh oh, store trip, got to have real carrots for carrot cake, canned carrots aren't gonna work!)

I've never made a carrot cake, actually! I like them, but I've never made one.

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday! We got our tree yesterday and we'll decorate it later this afternoon. We're about to go run some errands now.

Sunday here for me
I have a whole heap of chores and cleaning to catch up on that I didn't not have a single chance to do last week Made a seven hour round trip yesterday to collect some dogs, at least two of which are basically fosters for the time being. Going to try to spend time with them too as they're a little nervous!

That's how my Pippin got his or her name. Pippin is a silkie, so I'm still not sure, lol. But one day I told my dog to "hurry up, pip pip." Then I thought that Pip would be a cute chicken name, which evolved into Pippin, lol.

Lol I hope all is well! We just ended up doing way more than we anticipated. But we got a nice new perch built along the length of the run. So now the chickens have a new place to hang out. They love it.

LoL, definitely was a good news bad news weekend here -

We got 3/4" of rain!
Our neighbors are moving.
My oldest nephew got engaged!
Dog broke my fav coffee cup.
Reaper joined the Layer Club....

.
And it's a brown egg!

Bless her little barred heart, I'm proud of her but can't help but be a bit disappointed. I'm up to my keister in brown layers.... .
Ah well, eggs are eggs, at least I get varying shades of brown

Yeah, as the site says, possiblity for brown eggs. Not sure what odds are but obviously were not in my favor this time!
