Green thumb is itching, anyone else?

I'm reading about Dill right now and considering planting it in the herb garden. I'm in NY is it a perennial here? They don't say. Does anyone here grow it?

They do say you can plant it with cabbages or lettuce, so I thought if it's a perennial I'd plant it down the middle of a bed and plant the lettuce on the outside.

Think spring people. I can't wait.

Hi Rancher In up state NY it would be an annual. With the right conditions you could get lucky if you let some go to seed that it might return. You really should replant it every year.if I run out of space I just sprinkle it in my perennial gardens since I don't use lots of it. It has come back here on Long Island.

The green in the pic outside the beds is from just after I weed whacked the area. I just use the weed whacker to keep the weeds outside the beds in check.

Anyhow I am considering planted more herbs and Dill is one. I might do a few jars of pickles to have on hand.

Yes I saw the thread I'll go find it, but I think it is about to hit the deadine if it hasn't already.



Oh good there is still time, I thought the deadline was the end of Jan, but it is the end of Feb.

47 days till I plant my peas. When put like that it doesn't feel very long at all. That also means that in a couple of weeks the soil will be workable.the surgeon just told me that I shouldn't need surgery on my shoulder if I continue with the physical therapy.the PT is working great. Unfortunately that means finding someone to turn over the beds. I hate relying on anyone to do things like that for me.
Up at 2:30 in the morning thinking about the chicks I'm having shipped today. When the phone rings tomorrow morning at 5:30 my husband is going to kill me. I don't know if I should tell him or play "blonde".
