Green thumb is itching, anyone else?

My potatoes loved the rain, I just found three volunteers in my sweet potato bed, do they volunteer if on goes undiscovered? puzzled. Tomatoes are coming along, probably go out next week.
I am in a walking boot for 4 more weeks, achilies tendon apparently did not like playing Man from Snowy River. My horse was great, we got home in one piece.

Sorry about the Achilles' tendon. I know how you feel... I ruptured mine last August .. I have never had a pain like that. I've had broken bones and all kind of other injuries( I am not kind on my body) . I had surgery to repair it and do not wish anything like that on anyone!

Thank you! It has not ruptured, but Doc says not far from it, so I will clunk around until he says otherwise. He did recommend covering it when outside, the inside of the toe was green. It is getting better.

I love when spring comes and flowers start to bloom

Hi all, how are thing?
Between cleaning coops and weeds ; why do I love this ??
Things are doing great here; all except my tomatoes, they have blight. I think I'm going to forget planting them next year , go back to they the following one. Can't wait to see how my sweet potatoes turn out.
Keep on digging.....

We've been busy. The garden isn't doing too great, but it's coming around. Trouble with all the squash, AGAIN. Got my first tomato today though.. peppers are finally growing. My mango is growing like a weed now that it's good and hot. I highly doubt it'll ever fruit, but it's one of those fun projects. Lots of things that didn't grow.. my soil needs improving and probably watering more often, dunno... mostly the soil I figure.

Well I got a late start again. DW was diagnosed with B. Cancer so we've been dealing with that.

I planted tomotoes, some cukes, sage and parsely.

Pulled the garlic but the chickens got in and I didn't get as much as I planted. What I did get was nice.

There were some gooseberries and currants but I didn't need any so they are just there.

Planted Rhubarb again and it's doing very well. I also don't need any of that this year either.

Peppers are doing okay but not good as is the Egg plants. I used a different soil and I think that is why.

I really need to get some more horse manure too.

My tomatoes crashed and burned this year too, really bad. They looked awesome early summer then death and destruction. I am definitely moving them next year. But I am really getting tired of buying plants $$$$ and not getting any tomatoes. Seriously thinking about preparing the planting area in fall and buying a few seed pkts casting them in the area in winter and letting them be "volunteer"

I am sorry about your wife's recent dx.

My cukes started great but they now are dying a slow death from mosaic disease I think.

My garden was depressing this year, really really poor outcome. I need to regroup and replan this whole thing out.
