We covered our one raised bed that we have planted with a makeshift greenhouse, and the seeds inside are starting to sprout! The other day, I pulled back the plastic just to see if it was doing it's job, and a wave of warmth came out from beneath it! It was really nice.
In that bed, I have recently planted some snow peas, kale, bok choy, green onions, radishes, and brussel sprouts. The green onions, snow peas, and brussel sprouts are starting to sprout. There is a 6-pack of soybeans on the other side, and they are doing well also. I also have a small planter of cilantro that I stuck under there, and it's also doing really well. In fact, it's doing REALLY well! I may actually have a usable handful of cilantro from that planter within the next week or so.
I have decided that by next year, I will have a decent greenhouse to help me through these times when I'm itching to get out and plant but the season says I have to wait!
