Hi folks! Mark in Greenville, SC here.

I really don’t want to, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to sell my 6 ISA Brown girls and the coop I built. I originally started this project because my father passed away before he could get them for my mother. I wanted her to be able to think of him when he saw them.

The chicks were purchased from TSC on March 30, 2016. It’s been a fun little project, but the investment and continuing upkeep heavily outweighs the benefits. I can’t justify the cost anymore.

All 6 chickens are in good health with one going through a big molt as of 12/24/17.

The coop cost about $800 to build (built 4’x6’ with two 2”x4” roosts, two egg boxes, and 6 pressure treated ground contact 4”x4” posts holding it off the ground).

I guess the bottom line is I’d take $20 or best offer per chicken and $700 or best offer on the coop. The coop and chicken buyer would be responsible for pickup and hauling away as I don’t have the resources to do so. I have a feed pipe, watering system, unused leg bands and other supplies that I’d throw in for free if the buyer wanted them.

I also have a 7’x7’x4’ run/enclosure I’d sell for $125 or best offer.

All sales final, no returns. Everything sold as is.

Merry Christmas folks...hope y’all are well!

My chickens are threatening to strike unless they get new management...let's keep 'em employed people!

Hope your Christmas was as good as you hoped it would be!

Thank you! I think I overthought/overbuilt the coop, but it was my first real building I did myself.

I really am flexible on the prices. I just want them to find good homes. As far as the coop price goes, I am very flexible on that as well!
