Hello from Tilghman,
I joined here, but did not post an introduction. I am a newly retired nurse educator (it was time), Nana, wife, champion of underdogs, and lover of wildlife. We have wild turkey, deer, eagles, Great blue heron, ducks, geese, bunnies, squirrels, and more that I enjoy watching daily. After a pair of peafowl showed up and peaked my interest, started feeding them (they were… after all knocking on the doors with their beaks for food). Long story short, the female disappeared with hatched young ones…and the male stayed around hanging out with the wild turkeys. He appeared lonely, so I decided (along with my hubby) to get him two peahens. Now he is MIA…. BUT…. I love these birds… and will figure out if he’s in hiding, or they now need a new “dude” I. Their lives…. Y’all have. A lot of great tips! Thanks for keeping me informed, and for being so welcoming!
