I am in Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks and got 8 chicks this spring. They are all laying now and we can't imagine life without them! I got a lot of great information from this site.

As you read in my topic, im on the Outer Banks or OBX as many call it. Im a newby to keeping chicks, but look forward to all the advice and knowledge I will learn from everyone on the board. I have not gotten the chix's yet, and have just decided what coop will work best for our property. Im originally from Kentucky, and I must say that I think my mother is a little jealous that ive started my project before she has.

I used to live at Surf City!! My husband was stationed at Camp Lejuene....I fell in love with the ocean!
