Hi all,

I'm thinking about embarking on the journey of poultry raising. We live on 10 wooded hilly acres at maybe 6,500 - 7,000 ft. I wanted egg-laying chickens, but my husband would rather eat turkeys. So maybe we'll compromise and get some Beltsville turkeys.

Currently digging through the wealth of information on this site to get prepared. Thanks!

lots of people on here have chickens and turkeys. Some say they should be kept apart so the turkeys don't get blackhead. You even have enough land to have Emus.
