Greetings from a new member!

Very nice intro, glad you have finally been able to get the flock you've wanted for so long. Before your new little ones arrive, be sure to read up on integration...chickens aren't automatically open to new additions.

Best of luck and thanks for joining us!

I hope you find yourself getting comfortable with incubating (I was afraid too), and expand your flock very soon. :D I highly recommend turkeys and ducks too! :thumbsup

I’ve been reading up, watching videos, and listening to podcasts on integrating new chickens to an established flock. I’m a tad obsessed! That said, I expect I’ll learn a lot more when I actually do it!

I agree, you'll learn a lot with the hands-on experience. I did find that reading up on things helped me feel a bit more prepared. And it was reassuring to know my first batch of chicks were pretty much like everyone else's and not acting outside the bounds of "normal". :p
