Greetings from Alabama

Good Evenin,
My name is Dee. I am a chicken mom of 19. I started out with two Australorps a year ago. Lost one to Merecks. A friend gave me two and one of those got wryneck. I was able to save her. But she isn't the same. I hatched some eggs from her 5 weeks ago and I am seeing her pretty face in those babies. This morning one of them tried to crow. Guess we will see how this unfolds.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Chances are good you will have more than one crowing!

Hello @Dejanirad and welcome from a fellow Alabamian! :welcome

Welcome to a relatively new time as a chicken keeper. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and complications with your first chickens. Can't wait to hear how your one hen's babies turn out! Hope you'll post some photos of them too?

It seems you already had plenty of tips to check out coop ideas here on BYC. You'll see alot of good plans to follow, or help you develop your own coop plan.

Our state has its own chat thread- great for finding local chicken keepers. Best wishes to you, and hope Thanksgiving was enjoyable!
