The Grey Peacock-pheasant, Polyplectron bicalcaratum also known as Burmese Peacock is a large Southeast Asian member of the order Galliformes. It is rather closely related to the peafowl (Pavo), and like these has brilliant eyespots on its plumage. It is the national bird of Myanmar.
The genus Polyplectron of the family Phasianidae consist of eight peacock-pheasant species. The males have varying display plumage, while the females are colored far more inconspicuously.
