I use sourdough, spreadable cheese (laughing cow, usually the creamy swiss) and enough slices of sharp cheddar to cover the bread. Depending on the size of the cheese and the size of bread it takes between 1 and 2 slices of cheese. Grilled in butter. I'm gonna have to try Moony's 3 bread method !

That sounds so good!!!! Never would have thought of spreadable cheese! And the 3 bread thing is yummy! I just tried it!

How about using pulverized cheez-its to bread pork chops?

It is! Before my kids were quiet old enough to know better they told grandma that her grilled cheese isn't as good as mom's Sometimes, when tomatoes are in season, I like to put a slice of tomato on the cheddar
