grinding chicken feed

I have feed mill I was thinking of grinding corn oats and sunflower seeds to make my layer feed last longer

This may make your feed last longer, but you are lowering the protein levels, lowering the calcium level, raising the fat content, etc.... So be careful how much you add to your layer feed.

Well the sunflower seeds should bring up the protein I also gave some thought to adding alfalfa in the mill also
