In the Brooder
I boiled some eggs, and 4 of the 6 are hard to peel, have strange layers in the whites, and taste chalky and gritty. What could be the reason, PLEASE!

Actually, that is not the case, the white is in layers around the yolk, it tastes chalky and bland. I swallowed a bite and it like stuck in my throat...nasty taste!Fresh eggs are notoriously difficult to peel. I sounds like you are eating some of the eggshell along with the egg.
Thank you for the concernActually, that is not the case, the white is in layers around the yolk, it tastes chalky and bland. I swallowed a bite and it like stuck in my throat...nasty taste!
I was thinking, I left the eggs in the best 3 days, could the hen sitting on them cause the eggs to form layers in the whites...but that wouldn't explain the grit .....Fresh eggs are notoriously difficult to peel. I sounds like you are eating some of the eggshell along with the egg.
