Gritty and bad tasting eggs

I've never had fertilized eggs that had a chalky/gritty taste... is it just one egg/hen or all of them? What about Gleet or worms? Calcium issue?

I was thinking it could be worms.
When was the last time you treated your flock for worms?
I figured it out, I had read an article about washing eggs in vinegar water...I did that last night and my eggs are nasty....this is exactly as they were before...like they are pickled...lol
Won't do that again...I guess I used a tat too much vinegar...haha

Oh, interesting....good to know!
Makes sense, vinegar dissolves egg shell.

Wow, very interesting!

I just rinse under lukewarm water and use a scrub brush if needed. In most cases I don't wash at all.
