groan... not TWO boys!! (8 week old EE's) - new pics post #24

They're beautiful!!! I know it's impossible, but I'd love to know what cross they are.

I hate to guess, but they don't look like roos to me. I always remain hopeful that mine are all girls.

I'll try to get a better pic of Peanut's comb but it looks like a big yellow wart, seriously!

3 rows of dots...

I feather-sexed them at 1 & 2 days of age (wing feathers) and was SURE I had two girls, but now with that comb... Bah!

Peanut does look a little rooster-ish to me, but both are very beautiful birds.

Here's a (bad) photo of their dad, btw... he's still quite young here and he's a real sweetie:

Their mom is also blue, I think:

I've had luck sexing my EE cockerals by 8 to 10 weeks of age normally but not this time!

I have 7 EE's that are 13 weeks old. I can't tell and the opinions on here were varied. I thought no comb= hen. I'm waiting for them to crow to know for sure. Most people on here thought one or two were pullets but they weren't sure. I think, as lots have said, that with EE you just have to wait to know for sure. I'm completely confused!

Hope yours are both pullets!!!

I hatched out ALOT of EE's this year and the 5 girls I kept had me guesing until week 16ish-Id say you had 2 pullets-and they are perdy!!!

Well, you're all giving me hope BUT I will hang on to these cuties until I can tell for sure...

I've had such rotten luck with soooo many roos from hatches, some girls would be lovely!

darn you have a beautiful; rooster, I've always wanted a blue one just like that, and the chicks are really beautifully feather!
And about the sexing, I dont think a comb showing its abig deal, I got 4 EE pullet from cackle this year and there the same age as yours and so far all 4 have a comb, but I doubt that Cackle would make that big of a mistake of sending ,me 4 roos when I ordered 4 pullets, what Im saying is a little EE showing a small comb its OK.

The combs are a bit red but I had some ee girls that got read early. I think it is just too early to tell on these 2.

They both look like pullets to me.

I have an EE hen that has rust coloring on her shoulders!
