I like my short coated dogs. They don't get a whole bath too often. I can wipe them down with a damp washcloth and they are good to go. Even Pepper the Aussie only gets a bath every few months. Nails I do every 2 weeks, ears every month, and teeth every other day.

Tuckers nails never seem to grow. I never cut his only use a file board i made.
Denvers are to long and ive been working on them. But they seem to go nowhere.
When my boxer waa younger I never needed to cut her nails. She ran a lot. Now that she's older her quicks are slowly getting longer, so her nails are too. I've never had much luck trying to get them to recede by trimming. I would guess daily grinding them down a small bit may simulate running on concrete or gravel.

Tucker runs at lot but not on conrete.
Im sure they will eventually grow.

Denvers im cutting 2 times a week.

Willows nails grow pretty slow, they almost never need a trim except for her dewclaws. I brush her once a week or so, trim her nails just as needed, ears once a week or so, and teeth I try to do twice a week...I need to do it more though.
