Thanks!!! I’ve been kind of obsessed with bathing chase lately🤣
Do you use a high velocity dryer on him? Those are fun too, especially when they are blowing their coat. Makes a mess, so I try to wait for a windy day. Some dogs can't tolerate it. I see now groomers put a snood on dogs to help.

Yeah basically! I have a 6.5 hp shopvac that I use on him. It has a higher hp than a lot of high velocity dryers I’ve seen, so I feel like it’s just as good as a real one (am I correct or am I missing something?) SO much fun!

I have an older version of this one, it's probably way stronger than the more affordable ones they sell now. I was tempted to buy one and see. If you can blast the undercoat out, ad well as most of the water after a bath, than it's similar to what I use.

No idea. Does the shopvac blast water out, and blows out the loose coat?
It blasts the water out instantly. I don’t really see much fur blowing out, but i do sometimes notice that there is a lot less when I’m done. It’s really hit or miss though. One time I’ll bathe and blow then have NOTHING when I brush him after. But other times I’ll bathe and blow and they’ll be a ton to brush out when I get done. I haven’t figured out what I’ve done differently. The only think I can think of is I used less conditioner

Could be it's getting out enough coat, that next time there isn't any. Do you still see seasonal shedding being in Texas? I've always wondered that. If hotter climates don't see as much coat blowing. My short haired ones are now just shedding.

Could be but I bathe about every two weeks. I wouldn’t think it would be that different so close, or is it? I’m pretty certain we have sessional shedding! But to be honest I haven’t had a seasonal shedder in a long time so don’t really know personally. Goldens shed all the time right?

Goldens have a double coat, so there's the seasonal shedding, and than the all around shedding. Outdoor dogs develop a thicker coat in winter. Most live in our homes, so the coat doesn't get as thick, but it still bulks up a bit.
