Hi All! TIA for your help. I noticed one of my hens had an odd spot about 2-3” below her vent. Upon further inspection I found a rather large nasty spot of what looks like scabby skin. I didn’t notice any smell and it didn’t seem wet. (It’s wet in the picture because I’d just finished washing it.) I brought her inside and washed it throughly with a mild soap and water and the sprayed Vetericyn on it. I’m not sure what it is and therefore am not sure what the correct treatment is. I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know how long it’s been there. I’ve been traveling for work a lot since Jan so it could have been there for awhile for all I know. (Bad chicken mom!)

She’ll be 3 in April and is still laying I’ve gotten at least 2 eggs from her this week. She eats/drinks fine. Acts totally fine. Isn’t picked on by the others.

They have an enclosed coop and run. I use poop boards under the roost bars so their not laying/sitting in dirty bedding (I use Koop Kleen for bedding). We have had some moisture issues but only in the far corners of the coop, not where they would be hanging out inside. The run is half covered, half open. No standing water anywhere. Mulch helps keep things from getting super muddy. They get at least an hour of free ranging time. More on the weekends.

There are 6 others in the coop/run with her and all of them seem to be healthy with no other issues to report.

I’m stumped. I’ve been searching online trying to figure out what it can be. Hopefully someone will have some ideas/suggestions. Thanks again!!
