Is there any kind of ground cover I could plant that my ducks won't destroy? I have 5 Khakis that inhabit a 12'x28' netted run most of the time. There was a lot of nice clover in there initially, some young strawberry plants, some mullein, and a thimbleberry bush. The only thing left is the thimbleberry, which has been totally stripped up to duck head height. The ground is completely mud. Is there any kind of greenery we can plant in the spring which the ducks won't eat and/or stomp completely back down to mud?

Yes. In 10 years of trial and error I have discovered the only thing that will live in the duck yard as a ground cover is broadleaf plantain . I have a ton of it in my yard. Then I got chickens and they ate the plantain so I separated them from the ducks and now I got seeds from my other plantains to reseed my duck area. You can also buy a packet of broadleaf plantain seeds on eBay for a buck or two.
