I had Pigeons in a hutch and accidently started growing milo a few years ago, I've seen a product called proso supposed to be really good for poultry, I looked it up and it's acctually called broom corn a millet similar to milo. I think a couple hatcherys carry it (mcmurry for sure) and you could probably find it through seed company's on line. I think it's ment to be a free range food plot type crop the birds can take as they please.

All of these varieties will allow you to save seed for the next year. I am not sure which one is best for chicken feed. Maybe someone else could comment on that.
