So this guy came to my house looking for a better life than he had at the neighbors (literally refused to leave). I’m not a fan of Roos but he is very docile. Can anyone tell me WHAT breed he is?? I have googled until my eyes crossed and just can’t seem to find more than pics… no names. I wanna know cause he became a daddy yesterday!😂Thank you!!!!

He looks like a mixed breed to me.
Thank you! Any idea which breeds?😆 He looks “barred rock” on his chest but I can’t figure out his top half. Neighbor has about 30+ chickens but she bought them all at feeds stores I believe. Tons of whites that look like Delawares and various Reds. I’ve never had a white chicken in 15 years. I’m boring and prefer Buffs, Barred Rocks & RIRs 😂 Thanks again.

Silver laced wyandotte with nonstandard single comb. :)

He could still be a mix, because it looks like yours has some barring? But otherwise he looks identical to my favorite rooster ever, Curly. (Oh what a beautiful morning Curly, from the musical Oklahoma) Curly was a silver laced wyandotte, but came with a big single comb. He was a super good boy to people and hens, and died attacking a bobcat to save his flock.

Ohhhh my heart! What a good boy he was!! I’m so sorry you lost him like thag. He defintely resembles Curly. This fella…( whom I’ve started calling Jiggy because he’s a male gigolo around here 😆🤦🏻‍♀️) keeps the most watchful eye over my girls. He has saved them from a swooping hawk and the other wayward roosters from my neighbors. Thankfully (for him) he has not been aggressive. I’ve never chosen to have a rooster on purpose and every one I’ve ended up with except my barred rock was mean as a striped snake!!!!
