Yes, that is a better picture to see the swelling. I would be a little suspicious of a tumor, but it may well be an abscess.

Quick update to say thanks to those who provided advice. I treated it a couple of times with Theracyn sprayed on a cotton bud and it has gone down considerably, although still noticeable. I tried to burst it but couldn't manage to drain anything and didn't want to distress her too much. She has continued laying throughout and generally has seemed healthy so I think the worst is behind us. Thanks again.
